The Croft Fire District is just South of Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Croft Fire District was formed in 1956 and originally named "The Huntington Woods Firefighters Association". A few years later the named was changed to reflect it's current service area of approximately 20 square miles located just outside of Spartanburg city limits.
The area of Croft is named for the US Army training camp that was located here in 1941. Camp Croft became home to nearly 200,000 U.S. infantry men as they came to train for battle in North Africa, Italy, the Rhine, Normandy and the Phillipines.
Our heritage is one of sacrifice & service and we are proud to carry on the name of Croft. We salute those soldiers that paid the price many years ago and hope that we will continue to bring credit to the name Croft.
The Croft Fire Deparment is staffed by over twenty professional firefighters who are trained to the highest fire service standards and are among the most respected firefighters in Spartanburg County. All Croft firefighters must meet and maintain a high moral and physical standard. Our firefighters motto, " To be, rather than to seem." truly describes our team members. Everyday we strive to be the very best.
